Retailer and Wholesale Account Applications
When you submit a “Become a Retailer” form or complete a retailer account application, we collect the information you provide in order to evaluate and manage your request to become an authorized Lampert Cigars retailer.
The information collected may include:
Your name, job title, email address and telephone number.
Company name, trading name, website and business contact information.
Billing and shipping addresses.
Business, tobacco, distribution or resale license information.
Copies of licenses, certificates or other documents uploaded through the application form.
Information relating to applicable tobacco taxes.
Contact details for business owners, managers and buyers.
The identity and contact details of the person completing and submitting the application.
Any additional information included in comments, messages or supporting documentation.
Technical information associated with the submission, such as your IP address, browser information and submission date.
We use this information to:
Review and verify retailer and wholesale account applications.
Confirm business and licensing information.
Communicate with applicants regarding their application and any required next steps.
Create and administer approved retailer or wholesale accounts.
Process orders and manage billing, shipping, tax and regulatory requirements.
Prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorized applications.
Maintain appropriate business, legal and compliance records.
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval as an authorized retailer or the creation of a wholesale account.
Application Documents
Documents uploaded as part of an application may contain personal or business information. Applicants should only provide documents that are necessary for the review of the application and should avoid including unrelated personal information.
Application information and uploaded documents are accessible only to authorized personnel and service providers where access is necessary to operate the website, receive form submissions, review applications or administer retailer accounts.
Marketing Communications
Marketing permission is optional and is separate from the submission and review of a retailer application.
Where you or another business contact provides consent, we may use the relevant email address to send information about products, events, promotions, limited editions and other Lampert Cigars news.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in a marketing email or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent will not affect the review or administration of a retailer application or account.
Applicants should not provide marketing consent on behalf of another person unless they are authorized to do so.
Retention of Retailer Application Data
We retain retailer application information for as long as reasonably necessary to review the application, communicate with the applicant, administer an approved account and comply with applicable legal, tax, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
If an application is rejected, withdrawn or left incomplete, we may retain the submitted information for a reasonable period for administrative, fraud-prevention, compliance and record-keeping purposes. Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymized or securely disposed of where reasonably possible.
Sharing and International Processing
Retailer application information may be shared with authorized employees, affiliated businesses and service providers that assist us with website hosting, form processing, email delivery, document storage, application review, account administration, order fulfilment, legal compliance or fraud prevention.
Because Lampert Cigars operates internationally, application information may be processed or stored in countries other than the applicant’s country of residence. Where required, we take appropriate measures to protect personal information transferred internationally.
We do not sell personal information submitted through retailer application forms.
